Flying Blue status levels and benefits

As a member of our loyalty program, you can take advantage of various benefits at each Flying Blue status level.

Flying Blue cards, from Explorer to Ultimate, fanned out on an Air France blue background, with a floating effect suggesting lightness and travel.

How do Experience Points (XP) work?

The more you travel, the more Experience Points (XP) you earn, which allows you to upgrade to higher status levels and receive additional benefits. You can earn XP on all eligible flights with Air France, KLM, and SkyTeam partners. The amount of XP you earn depends on your travel cabin and the type of flight.

Additionally, you can earn XP by purchasing Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

What are Ultimate Experience Points (UXP)?

Ultimate Experience Points (UXP) grant you access to the Ultimate status, which is the highest status level in the Flying Blue program. As a Platinum or Ultimate member, you earn UXP in addition to XP when you purchase SAF or when you travel on flights with an Air France or KLM flight number.

How many XP points do you need to maintain or upgrade your Flying Blue status?

After joining the Flying Blue loyalty program, your 12-month qualification period begins as soon as you earn your first Mile or XP. During this period, you can enjoy your benefits and accumulate enough XP to upgrade to the next status level. If you upgrade within these 12 months, your qualification period will reset and start from the month of your upgrade.
